Week 7 Games Talk

Postby Metroid » Wed Oct 14, 2009 10:26 pm

Fun game to watch between Tulsa and Boise St., Tulsa hung tough If Boise wanted anything to say about a possible BCS Championship they should have crushed Tulsa like Oklahoma did. I really don't see how Boise could get ahead of a one loss team from a strong conference, even Oregon should they run the table. How funny would that be. :-b

Any thoughts I had about Boise having any chance at a national championship flew out the window there. I'd probably put a 2 loss team in ahead of them at this point. They better do something impressive...although I don't really see how.

Yeah that's the problem for them...there's nothing impressive they can do from here on out.

Boise States remaining schedule
at Hawaii
San Jose State
at Louisiana Tech
Idaho
at Utah State
Nevada
New Mexico State

Maybe if they shut out every team remaining and score 50+ in every game that might impress some...still I don't see how anyone in their right mind can vote Boise in over even a 2 loss Oklahoma.

I know it didn't cost them the game, but what about that BS call at the end of the game against Tulsa? Sideline interference? Are you kidding me? There is no reason to make that call. :-t

OU beat Tulsa 45-0 without Bradford.

Boise definitely needed a more impressive performance than that slop-fest. They're lucky that game didn't go to OT, what with their strategy on the last play of "let's leave this guy completely uncovered for a 60 yard TD and rely on their quarterback being...well, the quarterback of Tulsa".

If Boise plays like that against even a mediocre major conference team they lose by multiple scores. Just ask BYU.

And that's why I hate the small schools getting into the BCS. They only have to show up 1 or 2 games a year, and that's not fair to the bigger schools that have to show up 8 times a year.

I don't care who you are - that pass Pike just threw from just outside his own end zone on 3rd and 17 for a first down was good stuff.

I came into this game expecting not to be impressed with Pike. So far... not bad.

I've been liking Pike for a while. He throws some great balls. He should be in the Heisman discussion.

He got sacked and fell on his wrist - but it's probably just sprained.
