Florida got lucky there. I don't buy the announcer's mumbo jumbo about bad playcalling, he knew they were going to be in man and that was a PERFECT play call. If those guys hadn't run into each other (fluke) they both would have been wiiiiiiiide open.
The only reason it left so little time left is because Mallet scrambled around and then fumbled, there were 9 or 10 seconds left when he tucked that ball so he should have just thrown it out the back of the endzone.
Yeah I didn't mean to join in with what the announcers said. What I meant to say was "poor play execution." Mallet totally should have thrown it out of the endzone, there was no way he was getting over the goal line on that scramble. Even with those two receivers running into each other, f he would have had just a second or two longer, it looked like he had a receiver streaking across the back of the endzone.
Yep, and he missed an open receiving on first down by throwing the ball over the top instead of putting it out in front of him towards the sidelines. Gators definitely lucked out on that series of plays.
Urban is typically very good at half time adjustments, so I'm hoping Florida comes out looking like a completely different team in the second half. Though I'm not sure he can teach the WRs how to catch in 20 minutes, he can certainly get in the O-line's face and pump them up. They should be pushing Arkansas around.
