Trade Help w/ WR - WHIR

Postby masarume » Thu Oct 15, 2009 10:34 am

DeSean Jackson + Steve Smith (NYG)

For

Greg Jennings

I would be getting Jennings, this is a 8 team league with standard Yahoo H2H Scoring.
Smith will be a top 15 WR down the stretch, and Jackson will be in that range too, but I think Jennings is a top 10 WR in terms of QB and phyiscal ability.
I think it's asking for a tad much... but this deal could always be done in the off season.

The only way I'd do this deal is for the future. We are keeping 6 players this year.
I already have AP/Gore/Calvin Johnson/Roddy White
I'm debating b/w Ray Rice, Moreno, Jackson, and Smith... if this deal is a good one for me, I'd elect to keep jennings and one more RB.

Help please?

Tough call, I think u will def want to keep knowshon for the next year, so keeping Jennings might be your best option.

I think Smiths numbers will decline going forward, with the wealth of young talent the giants have a WR, Desean jackson should also start seeing more blanket coverages like he did this past weekend.

I will keep Jennings if I were you, which would give u 6 solid keeps for next year.

I think your giving up a little much especially considering Jennings slump. He'd be a nice keeper in your case, but I would see if you could give up a little less. Good Luck, If you get Jennings, that is quite the WR core.

This trade is more for the future. I think you take a hit this year. But for a keeper you have to like Jennings over SSmith and DJax.
If you think you can do this trade over the offseason then you should do it then. This way you won't take the hit in points this season, and you can keep Moreno and Jennings.

I agree with the others...I like Jennings as a keeper for next year. I also believe Jennings will find his way out of his slump this year, the health of the GB O-line hasn't helped much either. I like the Rodgers to Jennings combo for many years to come. I would also agree that you should hold onto Knowshon, I am a little bias being from Colo and a huge Bronco fan, but the strength of their young O-line only adds to Bronco RBs being perennial fantasy studs.

We keep six players and our roster size gets increased to 20 with an additional WR/TE flex, another RB, and a QB position added.

I did the deal and got a 5th rounder (equivalent of a 11th). In our 8 team league, you'd be surprised who's still around in the 11th.
Thanks for all your help.
