My Ricky for his Stewart -- WHIR!

Postby tobias2 » Thu Oct 15, 2009 11:55 am

I think that Stewart is going to start taking touches away for Deangelo and am considering making a play to get him. I'm considering giving up Ricky. Amazingly, he is top-10 so far this year, but I have yet to actually start him. So I'm wondering if Ishould offer him up to get Stewart. Am I giving up to much? I just dont see Ricky keeping up the consistency. I am also playing this guy this week. Thoughts?

Well you are deep at rb, but to me JStew has more upside than Ricky. Carolina has had a tough start and have a nice little stretch of games coming up, so he and DWill should start to really turn thing around. I'd go for it.

I like Stewart quite a bit more, but you don't have a lot to gain from this. As both backs are in similar situations. They're both talented with good power/speed and both are very capable receivers out of the backfield. However, neither is going to supplant the starter anytime soon (Stewart is the only one with a realistic shot without an injury).

I like Stewart more because he should get more carries than Williams moving forward and his offensive line is one of the best run blocking lines in the league (though Miami's is pretty good as well).

So you might as well try it, as it is an upgrade, but expect similar production.

I don't think you are gaining a whole lot here either. Personally I would like to have Ricky more than Stewey, but I think its basically a wash. If you like Stewart better, make the offer. Good Luck!
