NEWBIE Roster HELP

Postby sj1 » Thu Oct 15, 2009 3:50 pm

Ok so i'm not from the states and have only got into the NFL recently. i have done a fair bit of research ON fantasy football and football in general but i could defenitely use some advice. Im in a 12 team league where each team starts 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1TE, 1 K, 1 DST. My team's currently 2-3. Here's what my roster looks like:
STARTING
QB- Phil Rivers
RB- Thomas Jones
RB- Marshawn Lynch
WR- Steve Smith (Carolina)
WR- M Sims Walker
WR- Devin Hester
TE- Jermichael Finley( bye week replacement)
K- Rob Bironas
DST- Baltimore Ravens
BENCH
QB- David Garrad
RB- Larry Johnson
RB- Felix Jones( Injured but should be back for week 7)
WR- Terrel Owens( isn't this guy supposed to be good?)
TE- Todd Heap

I feel that this team is OK.. not too bad. What do you guys think of it? Is it just bad luck that ive lost more games than ive won? who should i be looking to trade? Should i be patient with TO? I've tried trading him once( for Antonoio Gates) but failed. Also trouble with my league is , apart from me, only 4 other managers update their teams regularly. The rest havent logged on since the start, so there aren't many trade options- Does this happen to other people too?
Btw In the Waiver wire Johny Knox is availible- should i try get him as i ve heard people on this forum say they would start him ahead of Hester.

Any opinions will be really appreciated
thanks
