Trade Roddy for Eli?

Postby pop » Thu Oct 15, 2009 11:29 pm

Whats up. I am considering trading away RoddyWhite for Eli Manning. I am not so sure because I am not so desperate for QB, although I would like a more consistant one. Here is my team. 12 teams, no ppr, 2 wr's 2 rb's, 1 flex.

QB: David Garrard
RB: Slaton, Grant, J. Stewart, Donald Brown, Buckhalter
WR: FItz, R.White, Steve Smith(NYG), K.Walter, Roy Williams, Lance Moore, Jeremy Maclin
TE: Celek

I am probably going to drop Buckhalter for J. Finely

David Garrard has been doing decent and has a pretty easy schedule coming up. Although he does have a bye week next week. Im pretty set on wr's but I just have a weird feeling giving away my so called "stud"(not really shown up, execpt last week) for eli, who is good, but isnt his brother. I just dont want to be giving up to much. Anyone think its worth it?

Leave a link, ill try and help you out.

I like Roddy White, hes easy a top 10 receiver. Honestly, If Matt Cassel is on the waivers, I would opt for him. I would try to package Williams or Maclin (after his huge week) with Garrard or someone else and maybe pick up Hasselbeck or some guys second QB. Cutler, and Big Ben even Brett Favre. I would try not to deal your studs to pick up a QB.

I keep White. Garrard is not a bad option long term. I know he has had a flop or two, but I still think he is a viable starter.

Did you see the game Whtie just had? I'm not saying he's putting up over 200 yards every week from here on out but he should be pretty consistent the rest of the way. I would definitely pass on this trade your in a 12 team league you should be able to get more for a wr of his caliber.
