Jason Campbell vs. Chiefs or Marc Bulger @ Jaguars *WHIR*

Postby mshab61 » Fri Oct 16, 2009 10:38 am

I’m in a 16 Team PPR league.

With Payton Manning on bye this week do I go with Campbell or pick up Bulger off waivers?
There are no other starting QB’s available.

Campbell is facing the Chiefs with the 29th ranked pass defense 32nd overall defense. The forecast in the D.C. area is calling for showers and high winds. Do the Redskins pound the rock in the slop? The Chiefs have the 25th ranked run defense.
Bulger is facing the Jaguars with the 30th ranked pass defense 30th overall defense. It will 70 degrees and sunny in Jacksonville. Does Bulger get some time in the pocket? The Jaguars only have 4 sacks on the year so far.

Thanks for any advice you can give *WHIR*

That is a tough call.

I watched that MIN / STL game last week, and STL did move the ball against MIN, but they just could not get a score while in the red zone. The score looked worse then what the play on the field lead. One thing you have to look for though, Bulger was taken out of the game last week, not sure why though. He was 7 for 7 with 88 yards and a TD against a pretty good Defense.

The thing with Campbell is that he's consistant, and he doesn't turn the ball over.

I'm leaning towards Campbell unless the weather is extremely bad.

Thank you Zas. Bulger did not start the Minnesota game because of a shoulder injury. Boller started then got hurt very late in the game and Bulger came in and only got like 9 snaps. Bulger gets the start this week.

Campbell over Bulger. Remember that if the game in DC does get sloppy, Campbell is a mobile QB and can take advantage of the conditions w/ his legs.
Bulger just, well, he plays for the Rams. 'nuff said.
