Standard CBS league. Who would you start?

I start Smith. Especially PPR.

Jones is more committee. Detroit needs Smith to shine to win this week with Mega and poss Staff down. Their passing game is about shot. Smith has the kind of ability to make a difference here and there really is noone else. He is their offense right now.

I understand the points above. My concern is that GB will stack the line against the run because Detroit has no other weapons and although it is a committee in NY Jones has shown that he will get the goal line carries and has done a good job scoring when given the chance. Also not a PPR league. Do ya'll still think Smith is the way to go?

Come on guys, surely I can get more than two replies to this question. This is a very opinionated site. There has to be more than two people that have an opinion about the better of the two. Where is The Cafe Response Team?

Not being a PPR makes things tough.

I'm going to go with Jones in that case. I would say KSmith gets the edge on total yards but I see Jones scoring on a bashed Buff D. Jones can flat out run over these guys. Seems like half the Bills D is injured lately.

Detroit could easily be done for in the second half. You'll see guys like Bryant and Pettigrew getting garbage TDs. The Jets will hold things down all the way and Jones could be in for more than the 14 or so carries he has been getting. It's not a matter of if but when they get goal line stands, Jones plows. He could get 60 yards and 2 TDs no problem.

Smith could see 140 all purpose and be stuffed in the red. You're looking at a small diff in points but if it comes down to the fine line, Jones gets the edge I think.

Consider the matchups . . . yes Jones against a Bills run D. I wouldn't trust the Smith matchup against GB especially without their most serious threat Megatron.
