Need help with my line up. Drew Brees or Eli Manning etc.

Postby rocknje » Sat Oct 17, 2009 10:36 pm

Hello Everyone,

I am having a dilemma on a few players here. I am in a 10 team league/Head to Head Points.

I am not sure if I should start Drew Brees or Eli Manning. Since I have Steve Smith from NYG that every time Eli throws a touchdown to him I get double points, is that a good enough reason to start Eli?

What about taking out Jacobs and put in Leon Washington? What about Jag defense, should I put in Giants defense instead? I chose Jags because of the match up against STL. Any other advice will be much appreciated.

Thank you for your help.

Here is my starting line up for right now.

Drew Brees, NO QB
Brandon Jacobs, NYG RB
Thomas Jones, NYJ RB
Roddy White, Atl WR
Steve Smith, NYG WR
Mike Sims-Walker, Jac WR
Marcedes Lewis, Jac TE
Jaguars D/ST, Jac D/ST
David Akers, Phi K

Here is my bench players

Bench Jason Witten, Dal TE
Bench Santonio Holmes, Pit WR
Bench Giants D/ST, NYG D/ST
Bench Eli Manning, NYG QB
Bench Jamal Lewis, Cle RB
Bench Leon Washington, NYJ RB
Bench T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Sea WR

Dude, just pick one issue and post it. We're not here to run your whole team.

1. Play Brees. If this game is a shootout, you want to be collecting from both sides, not gambling it all on the Giants.

2. I would stick with Jacobs, unless you get kick return yardage.

3. I guess Jax is the play here, but I'm afraid StL might actually move the ball this week.

I agree play Brees he is the better QB and playing at home Manning is playing hurt so they will probably try to run more so also stick with Jacobs he will have a break out game one of these games. With Giants secondary a little beat up they may give up more TDs than Jax but I think Giants may be able to grab more points off turnovers and sacks.

1. Eli. The Giants defense is ranked #1 overall. #1 against the pass and #3 in points allowed. Plus the Saints seem to have been playing a more balanced game. I also don't like the Saints DEF. They have yet to face a experience QB. I think Giants will move the ball better then people think.

2. Jacobs

3. Jags defense. The Rams are horrible. They ranked #32 with 6.8 pts a game. And ranked #28 for YPG. While Jags certainly aren't a great DEF. I still think they are a better option.

Thank you all for your help.Much appreciated. As of right now, I will go with Brees, Jacobs, Jag def unless I get more responses for the other way.

If anybody else has any other suggestions, will be much appreciated.

Thanks again.
