Need Help With A HUGE Trade!!! WHIR

Postby fiscomi » Tue Oct 20, 2009 11:03 am

It is a standard yahoo league with no ppr.

There is my team

QB (Start 1) = Romo and Palmer
WR (Start 3) = Colston, Calvin Johnson, D. Bowe, D. Jackson, J. Cotchery
RB (Start 2) = S. Jackson, S. Slaton, R. Rice, and K. Smith

He wants to trade me AP, TO, and Jennings for Colston, Rice, and Calvin Johnson.

What should I do?

Leave a link and WHIR

I'd see if maybe you can squeeze out of him a better WR than TO, since he's offering the deal. If not, I'd still do it. You're getting the best player in football and still have very startable WR's.

Please help:

I'm gonna say not to do this deal. I know AP looks REALLY attractive and he is an upgrade over Ray Rice, but Rice is still a top 10 RB. The problem lies with TO and Jennings. To is a grease fire! Stay away at all costs. Jennings has been one of the most frustrating receivers all year. he been outscored by Donald Driver is every week but 1 and is even being slightly out targeted. Megatron is a clear #1 and you saw what the Lions did without him this past Sunday. I firmly believe you'd be hurting yourself by making this deal.

I'm torn! I tried to get sims-walker instead of TO and that was a no-go. His other WR's are Miles austin, Sidney rice, and hakeem nicks. Would you pick any of these over TO?

Any of them would be better than TO. I'd rank them as Rice, Austin, Nicks. Though I still wouldn't do the trade. he seems like a desparate owner trying to help himself, but his player will only end up hurting you.

No way do I make this deal. Not a chance. Not if he has TO on the table and an inconsistent Jennings.

I would at the very least try Calvin Johnson, DeSean Jackson, and Ray Rice for AP and Jennings, but that's still pushing it. You have a lot of WR depth. You can afford to get rid of 2 of those guys in a trade if you will be requiring a decent bye week fill-in in return.

Colston and Calvin will be a big loss IMO. Jennings won't do them justice and from a production stand point Ray Rice really isn't too far behind AP - even though I would LOVE to have AP on my team.

Help me out! I have BIG trade I must decide on within the next couple of hours.

He is desperate for a trade---He now offered the same trade but with sims-walker instead of jennings. I still don't think I will do it but what do you guys think?
