Thinking about making a big trade.

Postby Battaglia » Tue Oct 20, 2009 4:33 pm

I need some advice. I I have a lack of depth at certain spots thanks to some players not panning out. My one major asset is MJD. Im thinking about trading him for a couple of good players to increase that depth. Heres my roster. As you can see Im thin at both spots. I have Peyton Manning and Schaub, and obviously im looking to trade Schaub but there isnt really a market right now. An offer I have right now is Ochocinco and Ray rice for jones drew. I also could have Boldin instead of Ochocinco. So far this has been the best offer ive received. Any advice on where to go with this?

That's not a terrible deal, but I'd rather have MJD than 85 and Rice.

I'd try to move Peyton. You can rely on Schaub and there might be more of a market for Peyton.

Please help:

I agree that outside of MJD Peyton is your most valuable asset, with Schaub there, you can afford to move one of your QBs.

Rice/85 for MJD isn't all that bad of a deal, but if I owned MJD, I would want more.

Very difficult to gauge what you could do w/out seeing other rosters...

That said, I would look at the Addai owners roster (D. Brown holds value there) and with 2 of the best QB in FF right now in Manning/Schaub - there's got to be an owner in your league who is struggling at QB.

I think you hold onto MJD and use Manning as your trading chip

There literally is only one team in our league who may need some QB help but his current guy is Mcnabb so its not like hes running Chad Henne out there every week. I made a Schaub offer to him earlier and im waiting for a reply. I took Schuab in the 7th round simply to deal him with the idea, like pretty much every year, that someone would need a QB. So far this year there hasnt been any major injuries and alot of guys are playing really well i.e Rothlisberger, Flacco, etc etc.
