Hate to use it on a one-week wonder like Maroney. He'll probably have another good game against TB before the bye, but then who knows. . . it is the Patriots. Buttholicheck never releases info about his players, so who knows how long Taylor or Morris may be out. If I don't do it, my opponent this week may end up with him . . . right now he will be rolling with Portis and LJohnson probably as his best options. I don't want him getting his grubby hands on Maroney. I'm almost forced to claim him just so nobody else does.

Should I wait for the next Miles Austin or Mendenhall, or take a chance on phoney Maroney?

I think you have too. Taylor should be out for the season or quite a while. Your Rb's are very shaky and this could be your chance to hit big on the WW. You could be picking up a full time starter for the rest of the season. The upside is just way too much to pass on.

I'd pick him up and use him this week, cuase i think he'll have a huge week....pick him up even if only to protect him from ur opponete....i say do it.

who else is on the ww to grab? Maroney has busted me more than once already in the last few years but (god please dont burn me for saying this) i think he could be a legit #2 IF AND ONLY IF Taylor and Morris stay hurt. It also would help if Benjarvis-Green gets hit by a bus and Faulk gets a concussion... Maroney IMO has huge talent if he can get his head in the game. Just not sure he'll ever be given another chance to be "The Guy" in NE
