A Few Wavier Questions (WHIR)

Postby tuckyou » Thu Oct 22, 2009 4:50 pm

Hey All,

I'm in a 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 DEF/ST, 1 K league, and need a bit of waiver advice.

1) Which kicker would you pick up for this week: Kaeding, Carney, Stover, or Feely? I initially put in a claim for Stover, but am having second thoughts.

2) I have the Jets Defense/ST, but could pick up the Colts D, is it worth dropping Garrard for them, since even though Garrard has Tennessee next week, I have Cutler, who has the Browns? I could also drop Willis McGahee.

Leave a link if you'd like and I'll look at it tonight.

As long as Carney keeps his starting job (and he did last week when other Saints kicker Hartley returned from suspension), I like him. If he gets just 1 FG, you're almost guaranteed 7-8 points because they're going to score 4-5 TDs most weeks. I just picked him up in my league, figuring if there ever comes a week when Hartley is named the starter, I can swap a kicker quickly and easily - as long as the announcement is made before kickoff;)

Back to you on DST decision....

Thanks for help on mine.

I don't know much about kickers so I won't skew your thoughts. However, Take the Colts D, count on them.

Thanks for the help with mine. I really like Stover - just picked him up myself but Carney is very good too. I don't sweat kickers too much. As long as you have a decent one, you should be fine.

I would pick up Colts DST. Good luck!

ya..carny and colts for sure

maybe consider dropping mgahee though...depends on your RB situation though.

rice could get hurt, and that spells GREAT for maghee.

for some reason i feel Nate Keading is the guy this week...just have a hunch
