Pulled off trade, S Smith (Giants) for Deangelo Please grade

Postby Paulyedward » Thu Oct 22, 2009 8:34 pm

I just pulled off a big trade, would like opinions on whether or not this was solid for me. I really needed a RB to couple with Turner, I only had R Williams and D Brown for my #2 RB. To replace S Smith I have Sims-Walker coupled with Fitzgerald. Please take a look at my updated roster below. Also, I see that someone just dropped Burleson, do I drop S Moss to pick him up?

I like the deal for you. Id always take a back like Williams for a receiver like Smith anyday. As you said you got one of the best(Fitz) and a decent guy(Sims-Walker) on your roster and the fact that somone dropped Burleson is gold for you. Id drop Moss and immeadiately pick him up.

I think MSW is going to finish a top 20 WR so of course I think this is a great deal for you.

Yes pick up Burleson!

Could be a wash really, but I like it, I would have done it because you probably got S. Smith off Waiver's in week 2.

Help with mine?

LOL, you are right on the money, that is exactly what happened! I also picked up Sims-Walker off WW as well. I have to keep Daniels because Heath has a bye next week. I could drop Heath and keep Daniels, but Heath is up against my Vikes this weekend, and the Vikes are giving up the most points to TE's so far. With Winfield hurt, Big Ben, Heath, Hines, and Co. could do some major damage thru the air. As far as Garrard, I am now considering cutting him, he's nothing special but looking at my FA QB's right now, there is nothing out there. The "best" QB's available are Shaun Hill, Josh Johnson, Bulger, and Henne. I am rolling the dice that Peyton stays healthy rest of the year like he always has. I guess if Peyton got hurt my season would pretty much be done anyway :~(
