Need Opinions on Trade offer, WHIR

Postby ehose2110 » Fri Oct 23, 2009 1:43 am

I'm sitting pretty at 6-0 in a 12 team PPR where TD passes are worth 6 points and all rosters include a W/R flex. At the time before the trades, my team was as follows:

QB: Eli Manning, Cassel, Bulger (Bulger was only on since my opponent this week needed a QB and he was the best option on the WW)
WR: Fitz, Moss, Colston, Marshall, Manningham, Anthony Gonzalez
RB: Ray Rice, Kevin Smith, Lynch, Fred Jackson, Donald Brown
TE: Keller

I was then offered the following trade from an owner with both Peyton Manning and Schaub:
Schaub for Manningham and Gonzalez

I accept, and then go to work trying to sell ELI. Unfortunately, the timing was a little late as Rivers was just traded, and Big Ben is currently being shopped as well.

An owner then offered me LT for Eli Manning. Do I accept this or am I not getting enough?

Thanks for the opinions and leave me a link if you need help!

You are dirty if you won't even let your opp. have a low end QB like Bulger. That's pretty dirty.

Ok don't keep Bulger just drop him.

Who is available at TE and RB in your league, you have a free spot after the trade and should have another for dropping Bulger.

A nice RB would help but I'm not sure how LT really helps you great.

I'd take the trade just because I think the Giant's passing game slows down a little and they start running more. I think better days are ahead for LT and he'll become at least your RB3 with a chance at RB2.

You don't need Eli with Schaub and Cassel is a decent backup. Getting Schaub for Manningham/Gonzalez was a great deal considering your top 4 WRs that you got to keep. Manningham is going to lose looks to Nicks and Gonzalez is still unproven with Collie and Garcon doing well in his absence.

If you're getting 4 pts per passing TD, I think LT for Eli is a decent deal, but I don't think your RB corps necessarily would improve too much. If it's 6 pts per passing TD, I'd hold out for more.
