Ronnie/Roddy/Crabtree for Moss/D-Lo 100% WHIR

Postby JoeyBallgame » Fri Oct 23, 2009 4:39 pm

10 team league, 2-Player Keeper, Standard Scoring, PPR

I get:

R. Moss
D. Williams

I give:

R. Brown
R. White
M. Crabtree

My Team - Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, K, D - (3-3)

QB: McNabb, Cassel, Sanchez
RB: AP, Ronnie, R. Bush, Moreno, C. Taylor
WR: R. White, Housh, Mason, TO, Crabtree
TE: K. Winslow, J. Finley

On the surface I like the deal, but I am huge on Ronnie Brown this year. Is this a no-brainer or is my hesitation valid? Please help and as always leave a link and I WHIR.

Do it. You're giving up an elite back in Ronnie Brown and getting a more elite WR in Moss. You already have AP. Roddy White is great, but he's no Randy Moss. DeAngelo Williams is no slouch. Honestly, I can't figure out why the guy would make the trade. Is he short on WR and hoping that Crabtree will pan out in the long run?

If you had Randy Moss, Housh and Mason with TO as a late season sleeper that would be a solid WR corp, and then if you had AP and D-Low with Moreno and Bush/Taylor as backups? Look out. The only improvements I'd make to your roster would be to drop Sanchez and pick up some more WR depth on waivers. Make the trade.

I don't see this trade as clear cut as Hags does. Moss is elite, but he's also 34. Looking at the long term, I think passing on this trade would be beneficial. This year Crabtree plays Detroit week 16 if you are lucky enough to play that late. If your league plays to week 17, Crab gets STL. I would prefer Brown over Williams for this year and going forward. Carolina's offense is in shambles. Roddy is one of the better young wideouts in the league and will almost certainly be more valuable next year than he is now.

If you are looking for immediate returns, this trade could benefit you. If you look at the long term, I think you would be better suited passing. I do agree you should get rid of one of your QBs and get some depth at WR.

i think i'd stay put here.

moss is the best player in the deal. d.williams is a keeper. roddy is a keeper. ronnie is a keeper.....and oh so is AP.

you'll only be able to keep one of those players, as i assume you're keeping AP. If you do the deal you'll really only be upgrading an already stout WR position. i rather you stick with the players you got for this year and next.

I would stand pat. AP and Brown is a dangerous combo and Roddy White as a #1 WR isnt exatly a bad thing. I might try and package some other players to get a #2 Wr upgrade if possible.

I agree with Daniel.....what a one/two punch with AP and Brown!!!! I'd look elsewhere to package an upgrade to your WR group if you like....and you are pretty stacked at TE as well!!
