Drop Winslow for Finley? WHIR for SHIR!!!

Postby Chuckles » Fri Oct 23, 2009 5:26 pm

Part of me thinks I'm overreacting, but part of me thinks I should shake things up...9 team league. Jermichael Finley for GB instead of Winslow. It seems like Finley will have more consistent production, where Winslow will be up and down...but talk me out of it if you don't agree!!! Winslow's more owned, so I'm not sure here. Thanks so much and leave a link for the WHIR!!! ;-D

Its hard to drop a big named person like that.........the problem is he doesn't have a QB to throw to him so that sucks for you. I don't know if I could drop Winslow for Finley....be patient

I think Finley is definitely in a much better than situation, however I see this one as a toss-up. I would agree that Winslow won't be quite as consistent, but Finley is still young and doesn't have much of a track record. If you have a scrub WR or RB to drop, I would go that route. Give it a week or two and then make a more informed decision. If you don't get Finley now, he could very well have a good name and be gone from waivers next week.

If you do want to shake things up though, I say go for it. IMO the difference between the two isn't big enough to worry too much about.

Yah, that's kind of what I was thinking, although his QB is terrible!! At least Finley has a good QB...anybody think otherwise or likewise? Thanks and WHIR!!

I carry 2 TEs, and those happen to be the two I have. Winslow is the #1 receiving option on a crappy offense. Finley is the #3 or 4 on a prolific offense.

I play matchups with them, with Winslow starting most games. This week I have Finley starting due to matchups, and Winslow has a bye coming up.

If you are going to do something with Winslow, you should trade him instead of dropping him. But I have had plenty of big games from my TE spot, and Winslow has put up 23 and 32 point games for me in my PPR league. Can't drop a guy like that.

Being from WI I am a bit partial toward Finley but Winslow is perhaps the best weapon on the team. I don't think you could go wrong with either if you had to choose (keep in mind that Winslow has a week 8 bye and Finley is already past their bye - not sure if you have to start a TE?). Good luck!

I think there are not many options in TB to throw the ball to, which makes Winslow a good option. I am stick with Private Winslow for now.

i agree with bronco... not too many hands out there in TB so Winslow is definitely a solid option over finley!! not to mention GB has a much tougher line-up then TB coming up... only thing you really have to worry about is the sketchiness of josh freeman
