If LT is a go, I would have to put Jacobs in. He hasn't been as monstrous this year as I expected, but it's always difficult sitting a (more or less) featured back for a backup RB. That being said, if LT is a no-go for any reason, I would probably stick Sproles in against a fairly porous KC run defense. Opposing teams are averaging 4.5 yards a carry against KC, and this is while they are expected to run (as KC is routinely getting their behinds spanked and having the clock run out against them).
agreed, NYJ. If you need a lot of points to win, moght not be a bad idea to go with Sproles. However, if you are on track to beat your opponent under the condition that none of your players tank, Jacobs is certainly the safer option.
I think Sproles. I saw Bradshaw getting goal line carries last weekend (two weeks ago? I don't recall exactly which), and that is a horrible sign for you Jacobs owners. The guy couldn't get a score vs KC, I don't think you'll see it happen vs Arizona. That's before we even consider that Arizona has the second worst passing D in the league, and the Giants will probably be throwing all over them.
The way they're splitting carries out in SD (Sproles getting goal line carries, who knows why, but he is), I think Sproles is the better play, especially against that terrible KC defense.
I don't understand how you guys can say to start Sproles over Jacobs. He's got a total of 3 touches in the last two games. 3 total touches! If you get kick return yds I can see it, but otherwise I would go with Jacobs.
