RB/Def trade

Postby Fuqyu » Fri Oct 23, 2009 8:29 pm

Hello, I am attempting to trade the Chi defense and Julius Jones (Sea) for Tashard Choice (Dal) and the Bal defense. This sound like a reasonable trade...at least reasonable enough to get it through to my opponent? Also, am I making a mistake? I have a solid rb situation, so I'm not concerned about losing a starting rb to a backup. I also have Lynch I could offer in place of Jones, but his lack of fantasy points makes him less attractive trade bait IMO. The league is non-ppr, looking forward to your opinions!

There is a variety of ways you can beat an opponent. At every posiion you have a chance to out score them. If you have a guy on the bench that you don't need it is always better to upgrade somewhere else. Balt D is still a solid d and is better than Chi. but Julius is alot better option than Tashard who is in a 3 headed monster situation.

I would think you should be able to get more for Julius. He is the man in Sea. I don't know if I would make this trade but it will upgrade your D

I appreciate the input! The reason I am willing to shop JJ is b/c I have a superstar at RB and 2 (more than) serviceable backs at RB. To give you the run-down, I currently have Adrian Peterson (hurray pick #1!) and Brian Westbrook at the RB position, with no flex position in my league. I also have Marshawn Lynch riding pine...hence my decision to shop a RB for a top-tier defense. If anyone has a better D I should go for, I am all ears for that option as well.

I don't know that I'd do that trade if I were the other guy, but it's worth a shot. I'd certainly do it, if I were you.

I think you could do make this trade to upgrade at defense considering your depth at RB and the fact that I believe SEA will work in more of Forsett (great pass catching back averaging 6.57 yards per touch). Good luck!!
