WAIVER QUESTION - drop S. Rice for H. Nicks -

Postby kimmer » Fri Oct 23, 2009 10:39 pm

I'm looking at playing Rice or Nicks this week b/c my other 3 wr's are injuried or on a bye week Jenning, Marshall and Boldin. What do you guys think? I lost my last 2 game and I need this divisonal game this week.

I'd want Rice. He's more involved in the offense, is the #1 WR, will get the red zone looks, and should be good for 60 yards a week. Nicks is more of a wild card. If you want to play it safe, go with Rice, he's more likely to give you a solid week. Nicks could have the monster game, but I wouldn't count on it. Too many options on that team.

I too would vote for Rice (chemistry w/ Favre and getting plenty red zone looks) and its hard to say which Giant WR is going to have the big day. Roll with Rice!!!

Never was big on rookie WR's. Rice is in his third year, is listed as the #2 receiver but is quickly becoming Favre's favorite wideout and . . . . . did I mention he has Brett Favre throwing to him?

Rice all day. I think Nicks will be good but first of all hes a rookie. Second he is the third option on his team and did not get much until garbage time versus the saints last week. Lastly from what i've seen of Rice this year he looks like a beast on the field hes huge.

I would go with Rice. Nicks is good but got his pts last week in garbage time. Rice is a key part of the Viking pass offense and has a great relationship with Favre right now. Please reply to my post below.
