Forte/Beanie for Addai/Tomlinson - WHIR

Postby Doughhead » Wed Oct 28, 2009 9:14 am

I get: Matt Forte, Beanie Wells
I give: Joseph Addai, LaDainian Tomlinson

Another owner offered me this. I’m inclined to reject it. Forte probably has the most upside, but he’s been as awful as LT2 so far. Beanie is an up-and-comer, but Addai probably still has more value.

Thoughts?

I'm inclined to agree w/ you on the reject. I keep thinking Forte turns this around, but we are almost halfway through the season, and something just isn't right w/ him and that offense. As a Donald Brown owner I've been disappointed that Addai has played as well as he has. I think I'd stay put.

Forte will turn it around, When it gets bitter cold they are going to run. The question is if the line is good enough to run block. Beanie is splitting carries and cannot pass block so 3rd downs may have him on the bench.

Lt is on a good offense he will get his share. Brown is hurt and Addai has looked good. I would stay put maybe try and handcuff Brown.
Qb: Romo/Flacco
RB: S Jax/LT/R Bush/?need to do a pickup(s Greene maybe)
WR: R White/D Bowe/G Olsen/J Witten/N Burlson
Def: Pit/Miami
K: Akers
Wr/Te's are interchangeable.

I start 1qb/3rb/4wr/1 def/ 1 kicker

I would reject. Addai has been good (too bad because I have Brown) and I think San Diego will need to get LT going if they want to go anywhere this year.

I have been offered: L.Tomlinson,RB,SDG for K.Moreno,RB,DEN and H.Nicks,WR,NYG
Its a 16 team PPR keeper league
Tomlinson has no keeper value and Moreno can be kept for a 2nd round pick next year and Nicks for a 9th.
Its a flex lineup, there are no position restrictions, my current starting lineup is:
QB: Brady - on a bye this week
WR: D.Jackson
WR: E.Royal
WR: D.Hester
WR: H.Nicks
RB: K.Smith
K: Tynes
D/ST: SFO
Bench: Moreno, Cooley, Hasselback, L.Washington, A.Caldwell

With this trade I am trying to score a decent No1/elite player by trading off 2 of my middle to low end players with keeper value. I did not plan on keeping Moreno anyways and Nicks seems to be the No3 WR in New York. I know Tomlinson is towards the low end of the 'No1/elite' player field but I like his potential in the second half of the season and I think with LT in my starting lineup I can make a decent run for the playoffs. Thoughts on LT's potential and the value of my trade?

Thanks,
Tony

I disagree. I would take the deal and run with it. Forte will get it going, and Beanie's role is increasing. LT is toast in my opinion and so is Addai. Brown will continue to eat into his minutes and will be back in a week or two.

Help with mine??? viewtopic.php?t=458214

Another frustrated Forte owner here. And although I do think he will improve, I don't see him living up to his expectations.

I see Forte = LT right now, and that leaves Addai vs Wells. Addai > Wells, so I'd say pass on this deal.

Good luck, and please see mine:
