Rank these FA RBs! WHIR

Postby schmidty » Wed Oct 28, 2009 2:48 pm

Simple enough question. This is for a 14-team redraft Yahoo H2H league. Pretty standard settings (10 yds/pt rushing and receiving, 6 pt TDs, -2 fumbles, no PPR). This last weekend crippled my team: I had Leon Washington, Larry Johnson, and Donald Brown !+) Which leaves me with only Matt "running the ball is not my" Forte as my only healthy back. Trying to swing some trades, but in the meantime I need some bodies - for this week, and maybe for the season. Here are the best FAs:

Lawrence Maroney (just dropped, so I'd need to use my mid-level waiver number)
Jamaal Charles (also just dropped)
Jason Snelling
Justin Fargas
Lendale White

Also of concern is that the first couple of guys have bye weeks, so I really can only afford to pick up one (of either Maroney or Charles) this week. That would have me going with Forte and either Brown (if he's healthy), Snelling, or Fargas for my RB2 this week. Washington and LJ seem to have zero value, so that's who I'd be dropping. For now I picked up Snelling and Fargas, but I have to decide if I want to drop either of them with waiver claims.

First is S. Greene available with Leon Washington being out for the year?

I would rank Maroney, Fargas, Charles, White, Snelling.

I think Greene could be a better version of Washington for the rest of the year.

I just had a similar choice and with Greene taken already i went with Charles because he should take over as the lead back and fits very will with the chiefs passing offense. True its not that great but it shows signs of improvment and i think charles will be a big factor in making it better.

I like Maroney 1st, then Charles, then Fargas...the rest are a coin flip. Maroney will be the guy in NE b/c there's no one else there...and you know they're gonna put up #'s so he will get a lot of touches. 2md is Charles...with LJ suspended indefinitely, he'll get the bulk of the load

thanks for helping with mine

If Shonn Green is available, I would put him first. Then Maroney (primary guy on a potent offense), Charles (moves to starting RB with LJ out of the picture and a soft run schedule), Fargas, White and Snelling.
