Ricky Williams and Greg Jennings for Randy Moss?

Postby jimhorn888 » Wed Oct 28, 2009 6:09 pm

I am leaning towards doing this trade however I already own Welker. I normally don't like starting two WR's from the same team but New England I think is an exception. This is a standard scoring league with no PPR. 10 yds rushing/receiving = 1 pt. Rushing/receiving TD = 6 pts. We start 1 QB, 2 RB's, 3 WR's, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 D/ST. I am currently in 1st place so part of me says if ain't broke don't fix it however this trade is tempting. Here's my roster:

QB - Aaron Rodger
RB - Steven Jackson, Chris Johnson, Ricky Williams, L. McCoy, J Charles
WR - W Welker, D Jackson,Greg Jennings, Sidney Rice, E. Royal
TE - J Shockey
K - M Crosby
D/ST - GB, Denver

Let me know what you think. If you have a question leave a link. I will answer all. Thanks.

Thanks for help on mine. So I have both on my team and start both... and it's worked out ok. With Welker taking punts, he always has a chance to run one back... that being said... I think you've giving up a little more to get Moss, but he's always going to get you 8 points no matter what... usually it's 18. Welker will always get you a steady 10 points... unless he goes crazy. I don't think it's a bad deal... I would see if you could counter with Rice and Williams for Moss or McCoy/Charles and Jennings... if neither work... I think you do the deal. Brady will ALWAYS do what it takes to make Moss happy... can't say the same for Rodgers. And you've got the rb depth to pull this off.

I think its definitely worth a shot but I think you hang onto Ricky, he's getting the ball alot and is scoring a ton right now, they seem to like him at the GL a little better because of his size. If you can deal Charles or Mccoy instead I would jump on it.

I'd do this trade personally. Who cares is Moss and Welker on the same team...Brady's gonna spread it around enough to get both of them the ball. I like this trade a lot for you

thanks for helping with mine

I understand it would be a more desirable trade if he would take Charles or McCoy instead of R Williams but he will not and I don't blame him. The only way this deal gets done is as I listed. My R Williams and Jennings for his Randy moss. Please more input. I have to decide tonight. If you need help with yours just leave a link.

Yes, I'd do this. You probably aren't starting Ricky with SJax and CJ anyways, and this will be a big improvement to your WRs. Make the trade.

Thanks for the DST help

Yes, in a heartbeat. you only start 2 RB and I like 3 options better than Williams anyway.

People are easy to forget Moss is a 1-2nd round talent and the second half will be lights out.

Who cares you are giving up smoke and take it from a Jennings owner, I would not think and be extactic about this type of deal.

Good luck!

I agree, you have to take this deal. Brady is just heating u so Moss will have a strong second half. Anytime you can get the best player in a deal you half to pull the trigger. And in this case you are deep a enough at both positions to justify the move. Pull the trigger! ;-D

New England is a passing team anyway, but with the RB issues they're having, they will be even more so. Brady seems to have gotten over his knee jitters (The Bucs will do that).

In the end, I'd be more scared against Moss than Jennings.

Do watch out for this week though, since NE is on a bye - you might be leaving yourself a little short.\

I don't think I'd do it. Not because I wouldn't want Moss but because I think you're going to be starting Ricky over CJ soon. I just don't see the Tennessee Charade going on very much longer now that Vince is in the driver's seat. The box is going to be full.

I say hold on where you are, if it ain't broke don't fix it until you're forced to in a week or so by starting Ricky.
