Mid-season team upgrade?

Postby bassackwards » Wed Oct 28, 2009 6:18 pm

I was wondering if you thought Palmer would be an upgrade at QB for me? Should I look to upgrade at QB or RB....or stand pat and if you think I should upgrade who would be the best choices to move? Thanks for any help and I would give my advice on your questions if asked!

Passing 1 pt for 25 yds
4 pts for TD

Rushing 1 pt for 10 yds
6 pts for TD

My team is listed below (start 1 QB, 1 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 FLEX, 1 K, 1 DST)

E Manning QB
D McNabb QB
M Lynch RB
S Jackson RB
C Johnson RB
R Rice RB
C Ochocinco WR
R Moss WR
V Jackson WR
M Austin WR
G Olsen TE
H Miller TE
L Tynes K
Minnesota DST

I think your team looks pretty solid as it is. Palmer would be an upgrade over Eli, but I'm not sure you need him since you have McNabb. Depends on what you would have to give up to get Palmer

I also started thinking about Warner....which would be the best to target (Warner or Palmer) and would it be worth getting rid of Eli and Lynch to make the upgrade? Thanks again!

With that team I'm not sure why you would think you would need to upgrade at RB? You have more than enough talent at RB and WR to make a trade for a top 5 QB. With that roster you must be in a really small league though.

10 team league...and made a couple good moves early on (Rice not drafted and did add/drop before season started). I guess I am a little concerned with the lack of TD's for S Jackson and inconsistant fantasy scoring for C Johnson (just on bad teams). I am not at all unhappy with my team but just looking to see where I could upgrade for the second half going into playoffs without giving up too much depth.

The way Palmer is playing, I would honestly now go after him more than Warner. Plus you probably could give up less to get him over Warner.

I would go with Palmer. But only if the deal is right. McNabb and Eli should be good for you the rest of the season. Not sure if Palmer will be a big enough upgrade.
