Which backup QB would you drop? Favre or Flacco?? WHIR

Postby franchinboy » Wed Oct 28, 2009 7:37 pm

I start Schaub every week so I don't need 2 backup QB's on my bench. I want to pickup Jamal Charles to give me some more RB depth. Which one would you drop? During Schaub's bye, Favre plays Detroit, and Flacco plays Cleveland.

My team:

QB-Schaub, Favre, Flacco
WR- C Johnson, S Rice, M Sims Walker, S Smith (NY)
RB- Forte, S Slaton, R Grant
TE- Vernon Davis
D- Arizona, Denver
K- M Crosby

THANKS!!

Tough call because of matchups. I'd take Flacco. Favre's been good but one good shot could take him out at his age. I also have a lot more confidence in Detroit putting up points than Cleveland. In other words, Cleveland game has a bigger chance of being a blowout. If the Detroit games ends up being a blow out, they'll bench Favre.

I agree with that reasoning for taking Flacco. Hopefully, you'll just use him 1 week.

Thanks for the help on mine.

If it's just for one week, I would play favre. Their bye week is coming up soon and i think favre will live until then. He has the chance of throwing for over 300 yards/3 tds every game. Unfortunately, they will probably run a lot on detroit. But i think for one week, favre will have more upside.

Thats a toss up and I don't thick you can go wrong either way. Still a believer living in WI I would have to vote Favre.

Honestly, if I was you, and as an owner of Shaub the last two years. I would keep both QBs because he will inevitably get injured and miss some time. That being said, I would drop Favre and keep Flacco if I had to make the call.

It's a coin flip, but I would keep Flacco over Favre. Favre's nagging injuries, especially his shoulder, worry me a little. Flacco has been very solid.

I would drop a defense, look and see who has the better matchups for the playoffs and keep them. I would hold on to both of your qb's for now and see if you can trade them to anyone. I think that they are more valuable than Charles. Good luck.

I don't think that I would drop either of the QBs, but would rather try to trade them to a team that may be looking for a QB in an effort to make your team even better. If you have to drop one of them, though, I think that I'd drop Favre. Flacco will put up good numbers the rest of the way, and has the better chance of staying fully healthy the rest of the season because he's not coming off of shoulder surgery like Favre is.
My Team:
M. Ryan / D. Garrard / A. Smith
M. Forte / J. Stewart / J. Snelling / J. Lewis / L. Johnson
D. Jackson / A. Collie / P. Harvin / J. Maclin / M. Floyd
V. Davis
