Best RB Pick up????? WHIR

Postby Thor » Wed Oct 28, 2009 9:30 pm

PPR scoring

I just lost Leon Washington, my starters are Chris Johnson and Ryan Grant. I also have Donald Brown on the bench.
In order who are the best RB pick ups for the rest of the way out.

Jerome Harrison
LeSean McCoy
Justin Fargas
Beanie Wells
Shonn Greene
Jamaal Charles
Lendale White
Mike Bell

Also while I got you here, what do you think of these two positions

I got Patrick Crayton as a throw in as part of a trade, which WR should I drop him for

Mike Wallace
Andre Caldwell
Mark Clayton
Pierre Garcon
Mohamed Massaquoi
Brian Hartline
Eddie Royal

Finally,
I have Kellen Winslow on a bye. Should I take my chance and hope Finley doesn't play and start Donald Lee.
Or should I drop Lee and pick up

Fred Davis
Brandon Pettigrew
Anthony Fasano
Bo Scaife

Thanks for the help and leave a link if you have one

I've got a feeling that Charles is going to be the best choice of those listed. Behind him I'll say Greene and Wells.

Drop MoMass and for the TE...doesn't sound too promising for Finley and I like Lee over the others if he doesn't...Good luck and thanks for your help!

Yep Charles, then Green and Wells. Best bet for an every week starter here on out. I don't like any of those WR to drop Crayton for. Maybe Mike Wallace if he keeps it up. I like Fred Davis at TE. Best bet for multiple touches any Washington game.

I'll answer in reverse.

First, TE: Davis is certainly worth a flier, but if it's just to help you on a bye week, the 'Skins are off this week too. Out of those options for Wk. 8, I actually like Scaife. JAX is a vulnerable team through the air, and Tennessee, while obviously not the 13-3 team they were last year, is incredibly overdue for a good game.

Next, WR: Out of those options I like Garcon short-term and Wallace long-term. I'd keep an eye on Royal, who is certainly the most talented in the group, but thusfar he's been largely absent from the passing game for a Broncos' team that's hitting the tough part of its schedule anyway. Push comes to shove, I'd take Wallace over Garcon -- while I think Garcon has shown enough talent to stick even when Gonzalez comes back, there's no question it'll be another person to spread the ball around and away from him in Indy, whereas Wallace has arguably been even more consistent than Santonio Holmes in Pittsburgh lately. (Not that I'd take him over Holmes, but just saying!)

Finally, RB: I like Shonn Greene best out of that group. With Washington out, he'll be sharing the carries with Jones now, and while that's not as good as an every-down back, I do think you'll see quite a bit of productivity out of him at least for such a limited role, just as Washington was able to produce surprisingly consistent low RB2/high RB3 numbers before. The Jets are just solid enough of a running team to make it work. Behind him, I'd say LeSean McCoy, with Westbrook clearly on the downside of his career, Beanie Wells, who has slowly been overtaking Hightower, though on a team that passes too much to have great RBs, and then Mike Bell, who has been way better than anyone expected this year but just has too many other players competing for touches to put above the guys getting more looks. The rest of the guys on that list I just don't think are in solid enough situations to get points with any consistency -- Charles may soon get the bulk of the carries in KC, but what's he going to do that LJ didn't? (Other than not make obscene Twitter comments)

Thanks for the help on mine.
