Help with trade Fitzgerald for Crabtree/Grant 100% WHIR

Postby jhurstjunior » Thu Oct 29, 2009 9:30 am

I am in a 10 team non ppr league where we get to keep one player each year. I have the following proposed trade I give Fitzgerald and get Crabtree and Grant in return. I really need help at RB and I am trying to see what I can get. I was also offered Beanie Wells and Calvin Johnson for AJ, but I am not going for that one. Scoring is Yahoo sports standard format. I can also go and get Mike Bell from waivers, and I have a proposed trade where I get Thomas Jones in exchange for Hakeem Nicks and Maroney.

Here is my roster:

QB: Rivers, Favre
RBs: R. Brown, Moreno, Maroney, J. Charles
WRs: A. Johnson, Fitzgerald, Sims-Walker, Miles Austin, Hakeem Nicks
TE: Owen Daniels
K: Nick Folk
DEF: Arizona, Chicago
IDP: Eric Weddle

And here are the teams rosters that have made me trade offers. Any help on what counter offers could be made etc. would be great. I generally stay away from trade, but with my RBs needing upgrades I figure I need to do something.

QB: Joe Flacco
RBs: Deangelo Williams, LT, Marshawn Lynch, Joseph Addai, Ryan Grant
WRs: Crabtree, Desean Jackson, Greg Jennings, Anquan Boldin, Nate Burleson
TE: Gates
K: Feely
DEF: Minnesota
IDP: David Harris

QB: Schuab, Roethlisberger
RBs: Brandon Jacobs, MJD, Shonn Green, Beanie Wells
WRs: Hester, Calvin Johnson, J Cotchery, Santana Moss, Dwayne Dowe
TE: Brent Celek
K: Akers
DEF: San Diego, Denver
IDP: Jon Beason

wow..i love your wide outs

you could use 1 more RB though.

Im not to sure about this one...if you look at Fitz's schedule the second half...he is do for monster games..hes going to be facing pretty bad pass defenses

Well I like your rb duo right now, I think that Moreno is going to have a big second half of the year. But if you make this deal you you do have the depth at wr to make the move, but is the upgrade at rb #2 going to make up for the lose of Fitz? I think I would stick with your roster that you have now. Good luck.

I wouldnt trade Fitz.

Try this: Sims-Walker or Miles Austin for either Grant or Addai

Thanks for the reply.

I like the Jones for Nicks/Maroney deal. I see Jones getting heavy touches, and he will produce as the season gets along and the weather gets colder.

Out of the other deals I'd pass. Getting Grant wouldn't be bad, but not at the expense of losing Fitz.

Good luck, and please see mine:

I agree with everyone else. Losing Fitz isnt worth it. I would try and sell high on Austin or Sims-Walker to get help at RB. If you are lucky, Charles will breakthrough with Johnson out and solve your problems.

Thanks for the help with mine. Short answer is that I wouldn't be parting with Fitz for any reason at all, he's just too explosive. I'd try to make a deal like Sims-Walker for Addai. You don't need to hit a home run here, you just need to shore up a good lead pair of RB's. Good luck!
