HIGHTOWER -or- BELL ?

Postby Maris09 » Thu Oct 29, 2009 1:57 pm

Looking for a FLEX starter here, standard scoring: 1 pt per 10 rush/rec yds, 6 pt TD

TIM HIGHTOWER vs Carolina
-or-
MIKE BELL vs Atlanta (* I am also starting Pierre Thomas as my RB2)

(I also have Manningham and Nicks to use as possible flex options, but thinking a RB would probably be better)

Thanks

If it were me, I'd start Hightower or Manningham. Tough decision though. I think Hightower will still get touches, and definitely catch some passes too. Against the Carolina D, they could be in for a big offensive day. Wells is rising, but they won't quit on Hightower right away either. He's also good at getting in the end zone.

If you're already starting Pierre, go w/ Hight.
Although I must say Hight is not nearly as attractive in standard non Ppr leagues.

Hightower loses out to Beanie Wells as the go to guy in AZ backfield now , drop him
Mike Bell is probably the #3 back in NO
\
I too would start Manningham considering the options

Interesting post.
Not sure I'd go as far as to call Hightower droppable just yet.
Mike Bell is definitely ahead of Bush as far as usage goes, he's the #2 in NO, not the #3.
Also looks like Manningham is questionable to face Philly.

So seems like I'm looking at either Mike Bell or Hakeem Nicks.

Bell or Nicks? If you bench Pierre, you can start both!

I think Pierre will get the early touches and wear down the ATL D but won't get in the end zone. Bell will then come in and rack up good yardage and at least one TD. Good eye, seeing Manningham is questionable. His hands were questionable before this. Give Nicks a shot.
