D/ST Woes. Should I bench my Vikings D??

It's thursday and I'm getting the waiver wire itch!

I stuck with my fellas the last time the played the Packers (against all reasonable advise) and they managed to pull out a nice 14 point evening for me ... much to the thanks of special teams play.

I don't know if I should risk the fates once again and allow them to slide into my starting line-up. The Pack will look to snap back at home.

Available on waivers include the Texans and ... the Lions. Should I pick one of them up??

The Texans take on the lowly Bills and the Lions pick up the Rams. I wouldn't normally consider either, if not for the matchups. The Rams may not score - at all. Also, the Texans have decent special teams, if I recall correctly.

Help would be appreciated!!!

My strategy of ignoring points scored and finding the most explosive D for the week has worked best for me. At least in my league, if a team scores at all against my D the damage has pretty much been done, so I look for turnovers sacks and TD's and less at matchups. Stick with your guys!
