I am all for lopsided trades but jesus this goes beyond that. I cannot think of one rationale that would make me deal a top 3 pick for a non starter. Maybe if that were SJax, DeAngelo and maybe even a stretch Forte, Mendenhall, I might not have an issue with it. But Bush isn't even starting NFL back.

Optional buy-in league? That is a recipe for disaster and makes zero sense....

No, it's fine. This is a league among co-workers. Bragging rights for first place. Money for first place among the people who paid. It's basically two leagues in one. There's no potential disaster or anything.

Some teams paying and some teams not is a MAJOR recipe for disaster. Heck, you are posting because of one occurrence..... even though neither of these teams paid the buy-in, this trade could affect the outcome of the rest of the league. The fact that they didn't pay makes them less reluctant to worry about the repercussions. If both owners had money vested, they may not make a trade like this....

The league should be set up so everyone pays a buy-in or no one does.

You are blind if you don't realize why an optional buy-in is a recipe for disaster......

Why would a team that didn't pay and is out of the race care to keep up with their team, in effect, altering the outcome for those that did pay? What if a team that didn't pay trades with a team that did?

I'm not saying that disaster will happen or that these scenarios will occur, I am just saying with this setup the likelihood is greatly increased.....

If it is for bragging rights, that's cool, but the fact that some teams paid and some didn't is going to cause an issue at some point or another.

Whether it's collusion or not isn't a case you need to make - the trade is grossly lopsided and vetoable on those merits alone.

Actually, collusion is the case that needs to be made for this trade to be vetoed. Anything less than collusion being proved or highly suspected and the trade should be approved no matter how lopsided you think the trade may seem.

This trade does warrant investigation as it doesn't make sense why anyone in their right mind would make this trade. The trade cannot be vetoed without investigation just because it is lopsided.
