Sproles for Matt Ryan?

Postby greggl1 » Fri Oct 30, 2009 9:52 am

Been offered Matt Ryan for my Sproles. I have Ray Rice,Lynch, and the combo of Pierre Thomas and Bell plus Sproles. I also have Brady who is on a bye. I picked up Bulger due to the easy Detroit matchup. The question is whether or not it makes sense to give up Sproles to get one Ryan start during Brady's bye?

look at it this way. If brady goes down again who will be your backup? I would much rather have a viable starter like Ryan on my bench going into the playoffs than Bulger. I agree he has a stellar matchup against Detroit, but can you rely on him if your Stud goes down?

I would lean toward holding on to sproles. If you really need the win this week then that might sway things. Sproles is a play maker and LT has clearly lost a step at this point. SD needs to get Sproles involved with 10-15 touches per game outside of the kicking game and I would be suprised if you didn't see this happen more consistently.

Are you in good position with the playoffs or do you need this win bad?

Agree with twelve inch...Ryan would be great insurance for Brady. The potential of needing Ryan is far greater than keeping Sproles.
