I'm Facing the #1 player in my league and it's gonna be a tough match...
Do i take the risk and play Reggie Wayne, despite him being banged up, or do I play Vincent Jackson? WHIR

If Wayne plays you gotta play him. He has a MUCH better matchup considering V-Jax is lined up on Asomougha.

here's the dilemma, however, if Indy gets a lead which is bloody likely, don't expect to see Reggie much more than a quarter. there is no way they are going to risk their star WR in this game. Reggie wants to keep his starting streak alive and hopefully get a quick TD. after that, it will be Clark and Collie and Garcon and Addai.

Reggie is my WR in a TD only league so this kills me. and i am a Niner Lifer.

just my two cents and i know everyone says play Reggie (but c'mon a groin injury)....

good luck!

Yep, I agree buddy's mommy. Indy can probably win this game WITHOUT 60 minutes from Wayne, who is definitely NOT 100% this week with a groin strain, so I expect Manning to favor Collie and Clark in the passing game. Vjax, however, is not only huge, but is one of River's favorite red zone targets, so while folks are worried about OAK's shutdown corner shadowing him on sunday, I believe that jackson will get open ENOUGH to warrant a start over Wayne this week. Nice problem to have this week btw...GL ;-D

I wouldn't advice anyone to play a WR against Asomugha, and even beyond, I wouldn't advice anyone to sit Reggie Wayne, to start another WR against Asomugha, so even if Wayne is banged up, he will be better than SF's CB's.

Whatever, in week 31 vs OAK VJax was targeted a total of 7 times and caught 5 passes for 56 yards and a TD. VJax towers over Asomugha and has decent hops as well. Oakland was playing INSPIRED ball in week #1, but I think we can all agree that things in Oakland have deteriorated significantly over the past 6 weeks, so I would expect VJax to at least equal his numbers from his first meeting with Oaklands' vaunted corner and possibly build on them. Will Wayne find the endzone or be anything more than a limited possession receiver for Indy this weekend? I seriously doubt it.

Start Wayne at your own risk, VJax and the numbers from the previous meeting warrant the start in this particuylar situation.
