Moss for ray rice???

Postby Mr. Baseball » Sat Oct 31, 2009 6:11 am

I have ocho, avery, burleson, and hicks for receiver and I am in first place. My runners are LT, wells, rice, jones drew, and mendenhall. I could probably get by with who I have, but probably should make a move to upgrade before it is too late. Is rice too much to give up?

How many do you start at each position?

Unless you have a funky format, I would probably advise staying put -- not sure I would be comfortable with my 2nd RB as a combo of LT/Wells/Mendenhall.

That's what I was looking for how many start at each position. I would hold on to RIce...RB's are going to have more value once the crappy weather really starts setting in. Plus Rice is a complete back, he catches a ton out of the backfield. He'll get 20-30 touches per game.

wells will slowly become the starter.
LT is a solid back.
Mendenhall is a STARTER. (Parker is done). Mendy is a top 10 dynasty RB. Don't give up on him.

I think I migth be tempted to do this deal since you desperately need a stud WR.

mendenhall, Rice, MJD, ocho, bureleson, nicks as your starters is all you need

stick with what you have

if i were you id trade LT and beanie away along with a WR to get a nice upgrade at WR

thats the smart thing to do

I agree with some of the earlier guys but I also look at it differently:

1) The day of running backs winning the league is over....I have a team that is WR stacked and I have yet to lose.
2) If it isn't dynasty I would pounce because Randy Moss is starting to get in stride.
3) It is hard to get rid of Rice but you are fine with the other guys. In the scoring system you have without PPR guys don't have as much value unless they score a TD....and none of your guys, sans MJD, will score consistantly.

I would do it unless you are a dynasty team.
