Have an extra TE. WHIP

Postby preseason heroes » Mon Nov 02, 2009 12:52 pm

I currently have Witten and Greg Olsen on my team with only one starting spot (aquired Olsen as extra in a trade) The top team in my league just lost Owen Daniels for the year and has no back up.

My team
QB - Aaron Rogers
WR - Randy Moss, VJax, Burleson
RB - SJax, Ronnie Brown
Flex - Marshawn Lynch
TE - Witten
Bench - Mccoy, Beanie Wells, Greg Olsen, Anthony Gonzolez, Alex Smith

His Team
QB - Peyton Manning
WR - Andre Jonson, Sydney Rice, Dwayne Bowe
RB - Thomas ones, Marion Barber
Flex - Cocchery
TE - Owen Daniels
Bench - Hakeem Nicks, Shonn Green, Eli Manning, Maroney

I want to trade one of my TEs for one of his WRs. Here are some options...

Witten for Cotchery.
Olsen for Cotchery
Witten for Bowe
Olsen for Bowe

I figured I'm buying low on both these recievers and am thinking I like Cotchery more. If anyone could weigh in on wheter or not these are fair trades for both sides, and which is best for me, let me know. I'de like to know which TE i should keep also.

I'll help in yours as well.

Thanks

I'd tend to say trade for Cotchery and keep Witten. I think Bowe has a far worse chance of breaking out because in addition to playing poorly this year, he's also the only WR in Kansas City that draws coverage. On the other hand, Cotchery, who I'm higher on anyway, at least starts opposite Braylon. And I'd say Mark Sanchez and Matt Cassel are kind of a wash.

As for Witten, Romo always throws to him. Cutler and Olsen are still getting there. Although admittedly, there are less good receiving targets in Chicago, IMO.
