Offered Welker/palmer for my Frank Gore

Postby nofsk » Tue Nov 03, 2009 9:32 am

Usually I would quickly decline this offer, but we're in a format with two RBs/two WRs/1 flex. Is it worth taking for the insignificant gain at QB, but a big improvement over Moss or hester at my #2 WR spot?

QB: Matt Ryan, Eli Manning
WRs: G Jennings, S Moss, D Hester
RBs: D Williams, F Gore, C Benson, R Brown, J Charles
TE: Dallas Clark

I would shop a RB around to get the best WR you can. I really like Welker, especially if it's a ppr league. But you want to make sure you get the best WR you can for a top RB like Gore. But I would definitely trade a RB to get a better WR.

12 Team League. We start 2 QBs and get .5 PPR, otherwise standard scoring
QBs: Stafford, Fitzpatrick, Collins
RBs: Charles, Mendenhall, Best, Starks, Carter, Karim
WRs: D. Jackson, Marshall, S. Smith, Green,
TE: Hernandez, Cook

At this point in the season, it is time to start considering your starting roster for the playoffs. Welker is a drastic improvement over Moss for your starting roster, and you still have 3 solid RBs to cover the RB starters and flex spot. I also see Gore's stock slipping as SF moves to a passing offense with the emergence of Davis and Crabtree.
