Drop Maroney for Charles? WHIR

Not sure how much value Maroney will have when Morris comes back and looking for a flex player for the next couple of weeks. Charles has some good match-ups against Jax and Oakland while Johnson is suspended. Should I go for it?

I was in this situation too. I stuck with Maroney, via coin flip.

I have the following RBs:
Peterson - on bye this week
Jacobs vs. SD
D. Brown - questionable
D. McFadden - injured

I will probably need Maroney or Charles as my #2 RB this week.

Charles>Maroney IMO. I mean when Charles has gotten the chance to play hes done really well. His YPC is high, its just hes stuck behind LJ. Im not saying hes the best RB in the game but i think hes got a shot to do some things. I think hes got some real nice value in PPR leagues as he catches a ton of balls out of the backfield.

And who knows, maybe he tears it up, they boot LJ to the moon, and J Charles goes on to rip off 1000 yards in the remaining games!! Okay we know thats not going to happen but id rather have him than Maroney. I know what Maroney can do.

I also had this same decision, and I also stuck with Maroney. I would suggest you do the same.

I would pick up Charles. He has done well when given the chance and now he will get the start. Like you mentioned, 2 great match-ups with Jax & Oak. He should be able to put up some nice numbers against those 2 defenses. The Patriots are a pass first & often team so you never know how many touches Maroney will get plus the Dolphins are pretty good against the run.

Since Morris, Taylor are out in NE right now Maroney is the guy. Not saying he is a great option but he will get the touches. For now I would stick with him.
