WHIR - Offered Mendenhall & Roy W. for my V.Jax & S.Greene

Postby ds1 » Wed Nov 04, 2009 8:46 am

My Team:
RB (start 2): A.Peterson, Donald Brown, L.Maroney, B.Wells, S.Greene
WR (start 3): V.Jackson, G.Jennings, D.Mason, N.Burleson, B.Berrian
TE (start 1): J. Carlson

His Team:
RB: Brandon Jacobs, Chris Johnson, Rashard Mendenhall, Ahmad Bradshaw
WR: Santana Moss, Devin Hester, Miles Austin, Jeremy Maclin, Roy Williams
TE: Brent Celek

all TDs = 6 pts, 10 yds rush/rec = 1 pt, no PPR

The key is that we start 3 WRs, so a lot of owners are looking for solid #2 & #3 WRs right about now (although no trades have actually been made in our league this year).

I was offered R.Mendenhall & Roy Williams for my V.Jackson and S.Greene.

Do I accept, reject, or counteroffer? (Note that he mentioned in his offer that he didn't offer Jacobs instead of Mendenhall b/c Jacobs and Bradshaw should be on the same team for handcuffing purposes.)

Some possible counteroffers I thought of:

His R.Mendenhall & Roy Williams for my G.Jennings and S.Greene.
His C.Johnson & Roy Williams for my V.Jackson and S.Greene.
His R.Mendenhall & M.Austin for my V.Jackson and S.Greene.
His R.Mendenhall & D.Hester for my V.Jackson and S.Greene.

If you can, please offer up what you think the best couple of trades options are (for me that has a chance of being accepted by him), including any I did not think of.

Leave a link and I will help you with yours.

Thanks!

I would counter with R.Mendenhall & M.Austin for your V.Jackson and S.Greene.

i'm a vincent jackson owner too and he's just been so good to me this year. you could definitely use some help at RB, but i agree with the other post about the counter and austin miles. shonne greene is good, even tho last week's performance doesn't necessarily back that statement up, and i just think you're giving up a little much for what your getting in return. so you can either counter for another rb or wr.

I would stand pat. Vincent Jackson is a beast! He'll take a lot of owners to the Super Bowl.

But if you have to make a trade, take the one with Chris Johnson.

Please help me;

Thanks for the help on mine. I view Williams and Greene as non-issues because they both won't be good fantasy options this year (unless Jones gets hurt). So it boils down to what RB can you get for Jax. And I think you can do better than Mendenhall. Johnson would be a good choice. But I wouldn't trade Jackson unless you are getting a top RB.
12 Team League. We start 2 QBs and get .5 PPR, otherwise standard scoring
QBs: Stafford, Fitzpatrick, Collins
RBs: Charles, Mendenhall, Best, Starks, Carter, Karim
WRs: D. Jackson, Marshall, S. Smith, Green,
TE: Hernandez, Cook

I would not do this deal as it stands!

You are giving up a top 3-5 WR in Jax and you are not being paid off approriately. You can do better than RMend.

If you are going to make this deal I would include Mason or Burleson. Or if its Jennings ask for Austin in return. But as it stands right now, I do not do this deal.

also, I wouldnt touch Roy WIlliams at all

Thanks for the help with mine

If you can get him to take this deal, do it. Chris Johnson is the guy to own.

I agree w/ the others, you need to get more than Mendenhall at RB to make the deal.

Thanks for helping on mine.

i agree with spodog. the deal to do is the one for chris johnson. you will lose a bit a wr, but CJ and AP should be a lethal duo at RB. thanks for the help on mine! good luck
