Trading for Turner WHIR 100%

Postby Sex Panther » Wed Nov 04, 2009 11:15 am

Okiedokie, Turner owner is shopping him (still) - this is a 12 team redraft money league: QB/WR/WR/RB/RB/TE/Flex/K/D, standard scoring w/ yardage bonuses at 100/150/200 rush/rec, 300/350/400 passing (max of +6 points), no PPR. I'm currently 7-1, in first place (but 3rd in total points), I just lost Daniels for the year (sucks).

My Roster...

QB Schaub, Hasselbeck
WR Moss, Jennings, Ochocinco, Burleson, Gonzalez
RB R. Brown, Tomlinson, Addai, Bell, D. Brown
TE Watson (I miss Daniels already)
K Gostkowski
D Minnesota, Seattle (for this week only @ home against Detroit)

His Roster....

QB Favre, Cutler
WR Bowe, H. Ward, Nicks, Moore, Collie
RB Turner, Grant, L. White, M. Bush
TE Celek, Olsen
K Gould
D Denver, Buffalo

He's in 11th place & 2-5, 11th in scoring.

My original offer was LT, Bell, Burleson for Turner & Olsen.

He countered with Turner & Bush for LT & Addai.

Not taking that. However, with my WR depth, I really don't have a probelem moving Addai & LT, but I need another starter - and Celek jumps out as a major boost to my squad. Think of countering LT & Addai for Turner & Celek.

If I were to do that, I could roll out the following lineup every week form here on out...

QB Schaub
WR Moss
WR Jennings
RB Turner
RB Brown
TE Celek
Flex Ochocinco
K Gostkowski
D Minnesota

I'd still have Bell & D. Brown on the bench - who both could be huge down the stretch if Addai or Thomas get's nicked.

Is that a trade you'd oull the trigger on?

I would do that trade. Sure, you might be giving up some depth, but you are upgrading your starting roster at both RB and TE. Makes sense to me.

help?

12 Team League. We start 2 QBs and get .5 PPR, otherwise standard scoring
QBs: Stafford, Fitzpatrick, Collins
RBs: Charles, Mendenhall, Best, Starks, Carter, Karim
WRs: D. Jackson, Marshall, S. Smith, Green,
TE: Hernandez, Cook

I would do it. Addai is at his peak high stock right now, and Celek is a big upgrade for you from a reliability stand point...

Any ideas on this:
