Not a big trader...Please help with this

Postby Phil Ivey » Wed Nov 04, 2009 11:55 am

I will get....
Vincent Jackson
Antonio Gates

I give up...
Santana Moss
Pierre Thomas

Here is my current roster:

RBs
Chris Johnsoon
Ray Rice
Pierre Thomas

WRs
Larry Fitzgerald
Devin Hester
Tory Holt
Santana Moss

TE
Greg Olson
Dustin Keller

Not a huge upgrade at TE but it definatley helps my WR core.

You're losing depth at RB, so if you can make that up even a little bit with Waiver claims, then I'd make the trade. You're upgrading at WR and a little bit at TE. You've got two solid RBs in Rice and Johnson, and i'd hate to give up depth with Thomas, but if you can't start all 3, then you're wasting roster value.

Jackson is a beast, Gates is an upgrade I would take it. I agree with Hags that you will lose valuable RB depth though. If you think you can handle the RB loss than I would take the upgrade at WR and TE.

I would keep it open-not decline and try to get the TE out of it since you are solid at TE. Offer like, Moss and Thomas for VJax and player X. Keep trying that, but if that fails I say take the trade and drop Keller to open up roster space.

I hope you can come up with a reasonable RB3, because the value in the deal is huge for you. You are gaining a WR who is arguably just as good as Fitz right now, and upgrading at TE. I like it.

Return the favor?
