BEST underachieving team

Postby joester » Tue Nov 18, 2003 7:54 pm

Everyone post you below .500 team that u thought had a shot goin to the league super bowl earlier in the year. Here's mine:

Kitna, Maddox
Deuce, Davis, Willie Green
Marvin Harrison, Moulds, Morgan, Pinkston
Heap, Clark
Elam, Mare
Pitt, NYJ

Coming into the season i though WOW. a top ten QB in Maddox, 3 top 15 RBs, and 2 top 5 WR and a top 3 TE. In my 10 team league I was making room on my mantle for the trophy but now im 4-7.

My 4-7 team looked like:

Collins, Plummer, Kitna
Portis, C-Mart, M. Williams, Canidate
Owens, Driver, Gardner, Booker, Tr. Brown
Grammatica
Tenn D

I thought Portis and Owens could carry me to a winning record easily, but instead I relied mostly on Moe Williams. Then traded him for Corey Dillon :-o :~( :-t Oh well, I'll still make the playoffs and am sure to make some noise...

5-6 with this team:

QB: Bulger, Rattay, Holcomb
RB: A. Green, Tomlinson, D. Davis, A. Thomas, Wheatley, Bennett, Foster
WR: Ward, C. Johnson, Mason
TE: Pollard, Shockey
DT: New England
PK: Elam, Janikowski

This isn't the same team I started out with, but my team has been pretty strong all year - just can't catch a break.

Here's the team that has been the biggest shock in our league ...

QB: D. Bledsoe, M. Bulger, K. Holcomb
WR: P. Burress, J. Horn, J. Porter, A. Lelie, M. Bennett
RB: M. Faulk, E. James, L. Gordon
TE: S. Alexander (SD)
K: D. Akers
Def: Carolina

Coming into the season, i fully expected him and another team to be the top 2 teams. Instead, he's 4-7 tied for 8th and the last playoff spot ... which he'll lose the tiebreaker on total points if they remain tied.
