Standard league, points for receptions, yardage and TD's. Total points.
I need to start 4 WR's and given that it's a smallish league with little or no bench per team, I'm assuming the free agent pool to be my bench. Here's what I've narrowed it down to (in no particular order) :
Reggie Wayne (Ind) vs. Hou *
Hakeem Nicks (NYG) vs. SD
Donald Driver (GB) vs. TB *
Mike Sims-Walker (Jac) vs. KC *
T.J. Houshmandzadeh (Sea) vs. Det
Calvin Johnson (Det) vs. Sea
Brandon Marshall (Den) vs. Pit
I've starred who I consider to be close to automatic starts - but I'm still left with 1 slot to fill. My thoughts on the options :
Housh - lousy year, so even against Det, until he's proven himself, I'd rather start Calvin Johnson
Johnson - pretty solid year and a standout on a bad team
Brandon Marshall - not as young as he once was and may have some defensive problems
Nicks - my last pick of the 4
So I'm leaning towards Johnson, but I think Houshmandzadeh has a bigger upside (when he's on top of his game). I can't discount Marshall just because he's still a top wideout. I can even consider Jeremy Maclin, but against Johnson and Housh, I don't see how.
Or am I overlooking something with the other 3 that I have assumed as starters?
