2 dilemmas involving Chiefs...yikes!

I'm a Chiefs fan. There, I said it. I'm pretty realistic about how horrible we've been, though, so this is a bit of a spot. Two dif teams, both 10-team espn standard non-ppr.

Here's what I have on team 1:
RB Chris Johnson @ SF
RB Pierre Thomas v CAR
R/W Maroney v MIA
WR Andre Johnson @ IND
WR DeSean Jax v DAL

No stellar matchups there, but nothing too scary, either. Now I have Bowe on the bench and I kinda love him this week since Jacksonville pretty much sucks, but I have no idea who to bench for him. I could bench any of the 5 and shuffle the flex, would you leave Bowe on the bench? If not, which of the 5 would you bench for him?

On team 2, I have:
Maroney and Forte v ARI

Is Jamaal Charles worth a start in place of either one? Don't love Forte's matchup. I like the fact that NE is so scary in the passing game that Maroney, with Freddy and Sammy gone, should at least get carries. I know KC is horrible, but Charles has shown flashes of studliness in the past, and I could see him really going off in a "prove-it" start vs a crappy D. Would you start Charles over one of these 2, and if so, which one?

Thanks for your help! leave a link and I'll happily give you my thoughts on yours ;-D

thanks for the help on mine...

oddly enough, i think i like both of your chiefs better than maroney... maroney might have a decent game, but i just think with the JAX matchup, the upside is higher with bowe and charles. your first team looks like you've got some solid bets on points and production so you could afford a gamble and bowe might be it...... the second team is a little tighter, i dont really like any of the 3 choices, but charles and forte will probly get more carries IMO

good luck

i'd agree. im not sold on anyone in the NE running game being consistent, even with jackson and morris out. I like the bowe matchup against the jacksonville D enough to put him in maroney's spot.

in the second league, though, I might leave him in place ahead of charles. kind of a toss up IMO, but charles has way more downside.

On team 1 I would bench Maroney in favor of Bowe. I like Bowe for about 75 ReYDS and a TD.

On team 2 I do not like Charles any better than who you have. I think Maroney has a better game than Charles.

Thanks for your help on mine.

Thanks all! I'm thinking that I like Bowe over Maroney in the first. As for the 2nd I usually default in favor of the "safe/smart" choice, which would be maroney in this case, better offense, more experience, better o-line etc etc...but I can't help hunching that Charles, who has shone in such situations before while Maroney hasn't, is primed for a one-hit wonder a la Ryan Moats (can you tell I'm chasing here? 8-o ) Anybody else got a think to add?
