QB, RB, and Def help

Postby Luca Brasi » Fri Nov 06, 2009 11:31 am

I just made a bet with my opponent this week that the loser must snowboard for a day wearing costume fairy wings. Needless to say this is a must win! 8-o

First up QB. Favre is on bye. I currently have Henne (@NE), but a guy is willing to trade Garrard (v.KC). Some free agents are Young (@SF), Smith (v.Ten), Stafford (@Sea)

RB, please pick 3.
Westbrook (v. Dal) (if healthy)
Tomlinson (@ NYG)
Sproles (@NYG)
Moreno (v. Pit)
I guess what I am asking is, if Westbrook is healthy who do I take out of the lineup? I am thinking Sproles but I'm also afraid Moreno might get stuffed by the Steelers.

Lastly, please help me pick my defense between the Broncos (home) and Steelers (away).

Thanks! WHIR.

QB - Brett Favre, Chad Henne
RB - B. Westbrook, L. Tomlinson, K. Moreno, D. Sproles
WR - N Burleson, D Hester, T Owens, N Washington
TE - Todd Heap
DST - Broncos, Steelers
K - Tynes, Gould

NE is going to kill Henne. You have to try to get another QB. If you are not going to give yo too much, jump on Garrard. You have to stay away from any RB playing against PIT (Unless your AP). i would have to go with PIT as my defense.

I'd go with Westy, LT2 and Knowshon. Use Steelers D. Now for QB, Henne would be my last choice of that lot, but all of those have risk. I'd try Garrard (who has lost the confidence of his coach and they may not pass much) or Smith second (but Titans secondary is getting better and the focus should be on Gore). Can't think of Stafford unless Megatron is playing for sure. VY, no way.

Thanks for the help ;-D

He will trade Garrard straight up for Henne. (Making trades with Michigan fanboys sure can be fun!)

First of all, take the trade now, but bench Garrard for this week. Then pick up Alex Smith to start for you. Despite improvements, the Titans are still the worst passing D in the league and Crabtree is settling into his role quicker than most folks expected. I'm hoping he catches his first NFL TD this week.

Bench the crap out of Knowshon, if you can. If Westbrook can't play, I would even go so far as to suggest picking up a decent WW RB for this week, unless you're in a terribly deep league. Jamaal Charles, Julius Jones, Beanie Wells are what you'd be looking for...

As for your DEF, it is hard to tell how flukey the Broncos season has been so far. Did they show their true colors against a mediocre Ravens team last week? I'd stick with the team you KNOW will produce for you...the Steelers.

Go with Garrard or Smith at QB. I'd leave Sproles on the bench and go with the Steelers' D.
