Pick 3 of 5 WRs for week 9 (WHIR).

Postby Go Skins! » Fri Nov 06, 2009 5:43 pm

I can only start 3 WRs in this PPR League.

Megatron @ Seattle

Welker vs Miami (his old team)

Houshmanzadeh vs Detroit

Miles Austin @ Philly

Hester vs Arizona

I wish I could start all 5. Not to mention I have Braylon Edwards, Nicks, and Collie riding the pine as well.

I'm thinking Welker (playing old team who sucks against the pass and he's the most consistant PPR WR out there), Housh (another PPR elite WR and he's playing Detroit), and Megatron (who's supposed to play and against Seattle, how can you bench him).

Now this leaves out Austin (who's been the best WR out there the past month) and Hester (who gets alot of passes thrown his way every week and Chicago plays a crappy AZ Pass D this week).

What to do?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I'd definitely start Welker because of PPR and he's up against a rookie CB. And Housh has too good of a matchup. And I think I'd gotta bench Hester. So it's close between Megatron and Austin. I think I gotta roll with Austin since he's healthy, on a better team, and has been on fire.

I'd sit Calvin. You hate to cuz you probably drafted him pretty high, but as of now he is still a game-time decision. I'd also sit Housh, who's been under preforming all year. Burleson seems to be the most targeted WR on that team.

Austin, Welker and Hester are your plays.

No, actually I traded Reggie Bush/Cassell for Westbrook, Westbrook for LT, then LT for Megatron, back when I thought I didn't have enough good WRs (before the emergence of Miles)...lol. I now wish I kept one of the RBs in the middle with all my great WR depth. I still think Megatron will be the highest scorer from all those guys involved in the multiple trades to get him. So basically I got Megatron with a late 4th round pick.

Man just as I thought, everyone with different opinions. FYI - I so want to start M Austin myself but anyone else out there worried about Philly's #10 ranked pass D? Ofcourse, Philly has allowed more passing TDs than Seattle (11 to 10). Maybe I should start Miles over Megatron.

Aggghhhh.......can't decide!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
