We start 1 QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1 TE, 1DST
QB: Rodgers, Cutler
RB: Jones-Drew, Jacobs, Mendenhall, B. Wells
WR: Welker, Holmes, Sims-Walker, B. Edwards, Manningham
TE: Shockey
K: N. Kaeding
DST: 49ers (been playing the matchups since about week 3)
I started out 1-1 and some key acquisitions over the weeks off the ww in mendy and msw have helped me win six straight. I'm looking at this roster and don't see any holes really, other that not having a team like the saints on d. Tips, can I run the table?
You're set at QB, Rodgers is a stud, and if anyhting happens to him, Cutler should be adequate.
MJD is a beast, between the other 3 backs on your roster, matchups should be in your favor more weeks than not
Outside of Welker, your WR's scare me - MSW has been very hit or miss (huge games, suspension, clunker) and he's always had a hard time staying healthy. Holmes is capable of greatness - but is inconsistent - same can be said of Edwards & Manningham.
Shockey is fine at TE, and Kaeding is fine at K.
AS long as you can continue to play the matchups - D/ST should get you by.
Over all, I see 3 real difference makers on your squad - Rodgers, MJD, Welker - you have 2 guys who have a legitimate shot at finishing #1 overall at their positions, and Welker is a top 5 WR in terms of PPG. Outside of that, you need to do the weekly juggling act based on matchups - which can work out wonderfully or be extraordinarily frustrating seeing a bunch of points left on the bench.
