Slim pickings for WR fill in

Postby nhmtns » Sat Nov 07, 2009 8:24 am

Standard, non-ppr 12-team league.

Overall, I'm fairly solid at WR with Wayne, Driver, Rice, Harvin, and Manningham. This week Rice and Harvin have a bye and I just don't trust Manningham.

Which of these marginal fill-ins off waivers (if any) would you take a shot at over Manningham for week 9?

M. Thomas vs. KC
B. Wade @ Jac
E. Royal vs. Pit
K. Washington @ Cin
E. Bennett vs. Ariz
D. Branch vs. Det
S. Straughter vs. GB
B. Hartline @ NE
J. Jones @ Ind

I just picked up Royal in my league. I don't think he is going to be non-factor from here on out. If I had to choose it would be him. Marshall is going to get all the attention against Pitt and after they way the Ravens pressured him last week and made him ineffective the Broncos are going to have to spread the ball somewhere else. Ravens and Steelers play the same type of D and like I'm saying they will take a note from last week and scare Marshall into dropping balls to avoid hits. Go Royal.

Yep, I as well would take a shot on Royal. Especially going up against Pittsburgh. They will need to get the ball to someone other than Marshalll.

I'd give Thomas a whirl personally.

Thanks for the responses.

Anyone else have an opinion? Royal? Thomas? Branch? Someone else on the list?

I like Earl Bennett to come through this week against Arizona. I expect a rather high scoring contest.
