There's a lot of talk bubbling to the surface again about a possible Haynesworth-to-Detroit move. If Detroit passes up Suh, they will seriously regret it for a long, long time. He is the real deal and total package.
I think regret is a by-product of shame. And the Lions have no shame. They will not regret any move they make, they justify and if needed scapegoat, but they never say they are sorry. For my money the only way we shouldnt take Suh is if he is already taken.

Wow this is the first time that i can remember that im officially 100% on board with the Lions. I actually believe that they know what they are doing and im very excited. Yesterday they took Suh when taking Suh was the play and then moved up to get Best. Ever since Millen was booted things have started going in the right direction. I look back at the Roy trade and thats when i started to believe and now im convinced. Im all in!
LETS GO LIONS!@!!

The Suh pick was as much a no-brainer as Megs. Love it, hope he pans out. The Best pick puzzles me for a couple of reasons. 1) Not sure they needed to trade up for him. Sure the Rams may have taken him, though they've so many other needs. 2) He is not a sure thing. Injur problems, the concussion, arm and shoulder injuries make me worry about his ability to hang with the big boys. 3) He hasn't been very productive vs the good teams. 4) He isn't an every down back. 5) This draft is loaded with D talent and the Lions have the worst D in the history of D. I really think that we could have done better to wait, see if Best is still there and pick better D help in the 4th and 7th rnds. Or should the Rams take him go with a LB or OL there. They can grab another RB later.
That said, I am happy with day one. Suh is going to really help the D line for years to come. Best could prove me wrong and be the explosive difference maker we so badly need out of the backfield. Not over joyed at the tendancy of Mayhew to pick glamor O skill position guys, ala his mentor. So break the chains, Mayhew, and go D or OL the rest of the way.

Definitely impressed so far - gotta love Suh (as my avatar shows)!
Given the Lions penchant for WR's with the surname Williams (Derrick, Mike and Roy) , I see there are 4 in the draft this year (Damian, Mike, Jeremy and Kyle) and they haven't taken a single one yet!!!
Fantasy Football: "Luck is where preparation meets opportunity"
The rest of the picks: 4th--Jason Fox OT Miami 6'-7" 303 Had minor knee surgery to end his season this year. If he grows into his frame he could have the makings of a decent OL. Not sure who else was there to choose from. 7th--Willie Young DE 6'-5" 251 NC State. Seems very light for 6'-5" 7th--Tim Toone 5'-10" WR from Weber State. Would rather they took a chance on RB LaGarrett Blount. Surprised nobody did.
Traded one 7th rounder for a 6th rnd pick next season-Iggles I think.
