RB for WR (WHIR)

Postby Holein1 » Tue Nov 10, 2009 9:52 am

I am in a ppr league and i think i need a upgrade at rb.

We start QB, 2x rb, 2 x wr, flex, te = 10 team league.

My roster

QB Philip Rivers, SD
RB Ronnie Brown, Mia
RB Jamaal Charles, KC
RB/WR Larry Fitzgerald, Ari
WR Roddy White, Atl WR
WR Steve Smith, Car WR
TE Jeremy Shockey, NO
D/ST Bengals D/ST, Cin
K Olindo Mare, Sea
Bench Darren McFadden, Oak
Bench Reggie Bush,
Bench Joe Flacco, Bal
Bench Ahmad Bradshaw,
Bench Beanie Wells, Ari
Bench Michael Crabtree,

I am thinking of trying to trade S. Smith for a running back. There is a guy in the league with Addai, or Grant available.

I could then plug crabtree into his position. What do you think

pretty close, but I prefer Grant. Brown will be back soon and will eat into Addai's production.

I would keep Smith. I think Charles will put up equal numbers to Grant (grants schedule is aweful and no receptions). Addai will put up more points than charles but not to equal the amount you will lose with Smith. Stay put or look elsewhere.

I would trade Smith for either one of those backs. Either would be a nice upgrade to your depth and team. See what you'd do is play one of them at your flex position and Fitz would move to WR-2. IMO you'd have better starting lineup.

I'd go after Addai. DB might be around but he won't hurt too bad I don't think. Ahman Green has already become the #2 back that quick. Leave Grant alone.

Unless Fitzgerald doesn't qualify to play WR in your league, get Grant and start 3 RBs. And don't plug Crabtree over any of your RBs.

My question:

If you can turn Smith into Grant, do it. If nothing else, he's a workhorse back. Those are hard to find. He'll certainly be better than Charles, who has a Kolby Smith problem.

Thanks for answering mine!
