I have played Hightower all year and he has been good for me. In your league I think he will be the better choice here. The Pats are 18th against the run, which sounds great until you realize they have only allowed 2 run TD's in all the games they have played (that matches Pittsburgh YIKES!!). Where as SEA has given up 6 TD's but is ranked 11th over all against the rush. Not going to be a lot of big break away runs for Hightower or Wells, but AZ has been nickle and dimming their way to the redzone all season. Once inside the 10 Hightower gets the touch. Count it: Hightower 6 TD's on the season. Wells has only 1.
Yeah, go with Hightower. I can easily see Addai shut out of the end zone this weekend...unless they decide to do some trickery and have him throw it again...
I'm in a SCORING ONLY LEAGUE. Yardage, fumbles, etc.... meaningless. The only thing I get points for is when a player scores.
That being said, which of these 2 is most likely to score in week 10?
Hightower-Ariz vs. Sea Addai-Ind vs NE
(My other RB is AP vs Det.)
Leave a link and I'll gladly return the favor.
Thanks.
I like both these guys, but Hightower is sharing carries with B. Wells, and Addai is sharing with noone, unless brown comes back. I like Addai better, he's capable of catchin little dump off passes and run them in, screens in the RZ and of course pound it in when they get close. That being said, Hightower seems to have the better matchup and like said before NE doesnt give up too many rushing TD's. I'd probably roll with Hightower, but Addai is tempting also

The issue with the sharing is that Hightower is still their redzone back. Wells only has one td this season. Hightower has six, plus hightower catches the passes too where as wells doesn't. I agree Addai is normally a go to back, but in this matchup, you have to go with Hightower.
Counting his TD throw, Addai has scored in every game since week 4. Considering that Indy didn't even start playing good football until week 3, that's pretty impressive. The Pats defensive game plan will stay true to form, trying to take Wayne out of the equation, which will leave Addai and Clark with the scoring opportunities. Addai should score; I wouldn't be surprised if he gets two scores.
Seattle has given up twice as many passing TD's as rushing, and Hightower has ZERO receiving touchdowns.
Addai gives you three ways to score, Hightower gives you one.
I like Addai here b/c he isn't in a solely because he isn't in a committee and as you said, yds and everything else doesn't count. Peyton also hasn't been exactly racking up the TDs in the last 2 weeks either.
