Crabtree or Sims-Walker? WHIR

Postby LJcomeback09 » Wed Nov 11, 2009 10:01 pm

i got a WR spot open this week, but i dont know if i can trust crabtree or not. I play in a PPR league so that helps. I would feel like shit if i left crabtree on the bench and he has a good game.

MIKE SIMS- WALKER- vs Jets 2nd ranked pass D. He's a obvious starter most weeks, but the Jets secondary has shut down big time receivers all year.

MICHAEL CRABTREE- vs Bears 12th ranked pass D. Last week Warner threw 5 TD's against them, and i think the 49ers will have similar success.

Who to start? leave a link! thanks ;-D

Warner did throw 5 TDs last week but its not the same situation. Alex Smith is not as good as Warner. 49er's WRs are not as good as Arizona Wrs. Arizona has no running game and Frank Gore has been on fire.

For this reason, I go with MSW over Crabtree.

MSW is the #1 in Jax and Crabtree is not the #1 in San Fran. I know MSW has a tough match-up but Crabtree will not outscore him...START MSW!!!!!

Help with mine

i don't like the defensive matchup for MSW. Revis is a great cornerback and the Jets have a good pass defense unlike the Bears who are pretty bad against the pass. i would start Crabtree this week over MSW. my two cents FWIW. good luck.

Revis has shut down much better receivers than MSW I would go with Crabtree here, normally I don't bench guys who have been studs because of match-ups but I definitely would in this situation.

Help with mine please:

I would start Crabtree.

2 reason I sit Sims-Walker

1) He goes up against a shutdown corner in Revis.
2) David Garrard plays horrible on the road.

I hate to say it too, but go with Crabtree. Jets Def is just to tuff against WRs.

i made this mistake last week, starting crabtree over sims-walker but i'm going to do it again. i know my sig might make me look bias, but i like crabtree's matchup a lot more. darelle revis (jets CB) is simply shutting down #1 receivers this yr so i dont think i can trust MSW this week, even though he dominated last week. i would roll with crabtree since he is clearly being targeted as a #1 receiver and i'm hoping he gets his first TD tonight, but there is no facts to back that, just hope. you really can't go wrong with either player bcuz they are both are somewhat risky (crabs' inexperience, and MSW vs. revis).

you GOTTA go with the Crab. Chicago D is spiraling out of control.
